Super Easy Chicken Kebab

Back to recipes

This is not as good as the chicken shawarma recipe, but it's a lot easier and faster to make.

* I use a premade chicken seasoning, but if you want to make your own mix paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin, and salt together. Use 3 tsp if this mixture.

Put the seasoning in the ziploc bag or bowl, add the chicken, and top with a tablespoon of oil. Mix the chicken well and store in the fridge, ideally for 6 hours minimum. Overnight would be better.

When ready to cook, take the chicken out of the fridge and preheat the oven to 220C. Once the oven is at temp, add the chicken for around 20 minutes until it starts to char on the edges. Check that it is cooked all the way through, if it is take it out of the oven and leave aside for a few minutes to let the juices get reabsorbed.

Slice the chicken into strips, then fill the pita breads with the chicken and serve with a sauce of your preference.

Personally I would recommend making a simple salad to accompany this, e.g. thinly sliced cabbage, onion, and tomatoes.
