Preheat the oven to 200C.

Meanwhile in a frying pan, add a tablespoon of oil and fry the sausages for about 8 minutes until they're browned all over. Don't worry if they are not fully cooked yet. Transfer to an oven proof roasting dish.

In the same pan add the onions and fry for another few minutes until they're soft and golden. Sprinkle in the sugar, then add the vinegar and paprika.

Add the chopped tomatoes and stir through, then add the stock. Add the beans and heat until bubbling.

Pour the mixture over the top of the sausages, then gently pull the sausages up a little so the tops are uncovered.

Bake in the oven for 20 minutes.

Mix the breadcrumbs and garlic powder, then sprinkle over the top of the dish and return to the oven for another 10 minutes.
