The Honey Pot

A honey bee will search up to 5 miles for food, which is about 4.9 miles longer than I'm willing to look.

Scrambled Tofu

This is an incredibly simple recipe that makes a great breakfast, lunch, or random snack. Even if you are not vegetarian/vegan I honestly think this is both easier and tastier than making scrambled eggs.

The only necessary ingredient is the tofu, however I strongly recommend the salt & pepper to improve flavour. Everything else is optional but makes it much better.

Ingredients:

  • 200g-300g tofu (any works, I prefer extra firm)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste
  • Optional: Diced onion
  • Optional: Sliced bread or toast
  • Optional: Sauce, e.g. ketchup

Steps:

  1. Add a little bit of oil to a pan. If you're including onion then add that first and fry until golden.
  2. Drain the tofu and add it to the pan. Mash it up with a spatula. We want it to be nice and crumbly.
  3. Start toasting the bread if you're including it.
  4. Fry the tofu for a few minutes until it's fully heated through.
  5. Sprinkle over the salt & pepper and give it a taste. Add more if you think it needs it. Note: At this step you could really add any seasoning you like. Go wild!
  6. Serve on the toast (if you included it) and with any sauces you like, if you want to. You're the boss here.
