Sesame Beef Stir-Fry
Portion is for two servings.
- 80g tenderstem broccoli
- 1 carrot
- 3 garlic cloves
- 125g egg noodles
- 240g minced beef
- 20ml soy sauce
- 40g ketjap manis
- 5g sesame seeds (or about a teaspoon)
- 1.5 tbsp ketchup
- 50ml water
Cut the broccoli into thirds, trim the carrot and halve it lengthways. Now slice widthways into pieces roughly 1/2 cm thick. Peel and grate/crush the garlic.
Bring a large pan of water to boil, add half a tsp of salt and add the noodles. Cook for 4 minutes or follow package instructions. Once cooked, drained them and run under cold water.
Next, heat up a frying pan. Add the minced beef and fry until browned. Once the mince is cooked, transfer to a bowl. Add a little bit of oil if the pan is too dry, then add the broccoli and carrot. Fry for a few minutes then add the garlic and fry for another 30 seconds.
While that fries, combine the soy sauce, ketjap manis, ketchup, and water with half of the sesame seeds. Mix well.
Add the beef and noodles to the pan, then pour over the sauce and mix well. Heat through.
Portion into bowls or plates, and sprinkle over the remaining sesame seeds.
