Polish Strawberry Pasta

Back to recipes

It sounds a little unusual to my British brain, pasta should be savoury not sweet! However this is a popular Polish summer recipe, and is nicer than it might first sound.

This recipe produces about 4 servings.

* Instead of yoghurt you could also use single or double cream, sour cream, Greek yoghurt, or even mix mascarpone and natural yoghurt together.

Start by cooking the pasta to package instructions.

While the pasta is cooking wash the strawberries, remove the stem, then either dice into smaller pieces or mash them with a fork, it's personal preference. Next, put the yoghurt in a large bowl and add the sugar. Mix well, then add the strawberries and mix through.

Drain the pasta then run it under cold water to help cool them down, and put a serving on each plate, then pour over the yoghurt & strawberry mix. This recipe is usually served cold.
